Detroit Public Schools May File for Bankruptcy

It’s a good thing that Michigan sent a state-appointed financial manger to get Detroit Public School’s financial situation in order, because once Robert Bobb got there he started referring to their budget as the worst he’d ever seen.  He said, “They said the sky was falling but they didn’t act.”

Lenders to Take Over Delphi’s Helm

… who made a successful bid to take over control of the bankrupt auto parts supplier.  The Troy, Michigan-based company, which split off from General Motors in 1999, supplies mobile electronics and transportation systems, including power train, safety, steering, thermal and security systems.
