American Airlines Workers Suffer Job Losses

U.S. Bankruptcies Surpass One Million In 2009

… in the Bloomberg, U.S. consumer bankruptcies rose past 1 million during the first nine months of 2009. That’s the highest number of bankruptcies since the 2005 changes to bankruptcy laws.

American Airlines Loses 15 Percent Of Revenue

According to an article in the Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth based AMR Corp., parent company of American Airlines Inc., lost $375 million (15 percent of its revenue) in the first quarter of 2009.
