This is so true. I know that since I attend college that there are at least 5 booths a week setup throughout the campus of TCCC. It is so tempting for students especially young students to sign up for a credit card and use it only for "emergencies" but that is never the case, it tends to be charged up on other things and then you are in debt owing back the money. Listen to Mr. Allmand he knows all about financial problems that people face, and he has wonderful advice.

There is a great documentary out there called Maxed Out. It tells the story of how credit cards companies lure new students into cards with the "free back pack" or "T-Shirt" offer and then they rack of thousands of dollars in debt with no job to pay it back. Some become so desperate and distraught by collection efforts they even committed suicide. The new law is long overdue!
