Do not be discouraged. I have seen hundreds of mortgage modifications sucessfully completed while in a Chp 13 bankruptcy!!!! At the same time, however an attorney specialized in bankruptcy mortgage law should over the mortgage companies proposed "modification" because the mortgage industry has initiated an influx of misrepresentations that could cost you your home. I am an attorney at Allmand & Lee and I have substantial experience dealing with the mortgage industry. I think you should DEFINITELY have me review and explain your loan "modification" to you so you have a complete understanding of the consequences surrounding the "modification." What do you have to lose? It is free!
